Ratanakiri (FN), July 19 – The Royal Government of Cambodia, in collaboration with the government of Vietnam, commemorated the beginning of wider transport operations across the O'Yadav International Border in Ratanakiri.

Ke Kim Yan, Chairman of National Authority of Combating Drugs, and Pham Binh Minh, the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister presided over the ceremony.

Ke Kim Yan said that when the transport road was first opened, O' Yadav only 40 commercial vehicles from each country were allowed to cross the border.

Now that the necessary road infrastructure and logistics are in place, a greater number of vehicles can pass through.

In order to ensure the overall continued success of the operation, collaboration and cooperation between the relative ministries and institutions of each country are paramount.

This is the sixth international gateway opens to cross-border commercial transportation.
So far, 500 vehicles are allowed to pass through all the border gates.
