Phnom Penh (FN), August 9 - Sok Eysan, Spokesman of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), explained that a country is not considered as “authoritarian” when it only crackdowns dissidents, who illegally go beyond principles of democracy and cause serious damages to national security, peace and stability.

"Opposing in accordance to the democratic is not a problem," said Sok Eysan.

"If people illegally and anarchically act contrary to the principles of democracy that could lead to serious damage to peace, political stability, national security and people's livelihood, the authority could use forces and weapons to crackdown, and it is not considered as dictatorship,” he added.

Democracy is for the common and respectable people, while authoritarian action should be used against those who want to destroy peace.
