Phnom Penh (FN), August 22 - Prime Minister Hun Sen had decided to allow Agape International Missions (AIM) to continue its operation in Cambodia, according to Sar Kheng, Minister of Interior (MoI).

The decision was made following the Head of NGO’s apology on Monday afternoon.

“Prime Minister Hun Sen allows AIM to continue operation in Cambodia, but AIM must hold a press conference to clarify issues,” said MoI.

AIM, the NGO affiliated with the controversial documentary entitled "The Cambodian Girls Sold for Sex by Their Mothers," which was broadcasted on American news channels CNN and ABC caused an outrage from public.

The premier ordered the Ministry of Interior to immediately search and close the organization AIM as a result of an insult to the nation.

At the press conference, AIM’s CEO Don Brewster explained that the girls CNN interviewed were not Cambodian girls, but were all Vietnamese girls. He expressed regret that CNN broadcasted that the girls are Cambodian.
