Phnom Penh (FN), October 9 - Senior Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prak Sokhonn, will preside over the launching ceremony of National Secretariat of Cambodia for Cambodia-Mekong Cooperation on Tuesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to MoFA's statement released today.

The inauguration ceremony will be attended by Ambassadors and representatives of the Mekong-Lancang countries in Cambodia, namely Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and China, and senior officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

"The launching of the National Secretariat marks Cambodia's engagement with four other Southeast Asian countries that are geographically located along the Mekong River, in close cooperation with China to promote regional development, with the objective of creating a community of shared future of peace and prosperity," according to the statement.
