Phnom Penh (FN), October 27 - Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Friday that Cambodia's sovereignty is a priority that must be protected even at the expense of international sanctions.

The premier made such remarks at the weekly cabinet meeting.

“Prime Minister Hun Sen has no personal assets in foreign countries, only aid to build schools and construct this nation. The premier does not mind traveling to the United States, but he has no time to go. Any government officials who have conflict is another case,” said Phay Siphan, spokesman of the office of the Council of Ministers.

The premier has also shown strong commitment to safeguard and maintain peace, national security and prosperity for all Khmer people; no matter what the cost is, he will not allowing Cambodia to return to the worst of 1970s.
