Phnom Penh (FN), October 27 - The Royal Government of Cambodia has predicted that Cambodia's economic growth in 2018 will be in a rate of 6.9% as of 2017, bringing gross domestic product (GDP) to $24,552 million, while GDP per capita is expected to rise to $1,568.

"The GDP increased from $15,237 in 2013 to $22,172 million in 2017 and will continue to reach $24,552 million in 2018; while GDP per capita increased from $1,042 in 2013 to $1,435 in 2017 and will continue to increase to about $1,568 in 2018," according to the 2018 Draft Budget Report.

The report stated that the rise of the economy is supported by the growth of various sectors such as industrial growth, service sector, and agriculture which account for 8.6%, 7.6%, and 2% respectively.
