Phnom Penh (FN), November 9 - Japanese film festival 2017 to be held from November 9, 2017, at Major Cineplex and Toul Kork Legend Cinema for free of charge.

The purpose of this film festival 2017 was to stregthen the relationship between Cambodians and Japanese.

"The Japan-Cambodia festival reflects the cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture and affirms the mutual love and friendship between the two countries. Movies are a great way to promote effective artistic arts and inspiration for people as well as a way for country to generate income and preserve culture,“ said Som Sokun, Secretary of State of Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.

The film festival is held annually since 2015 in order to promote awareness of Japanese people's life and culture to Cambodians. These films reflected the lives of Japanese people, society, and culture.
