Philippines (FN), Nov. 13 - Prime Minister Hun Sen held bilateral talks with Li Keqiang, Premier oof the People's Republic of China, at the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings in Manila, Philippines.

The two leaders were delighted to meet and greet each other as old friends with mutual trust. Li Keqiang made a commitment to boost relations between Cambodia and China.

PM Hun Sen planned to hold 2nd Mekong-Lancang Summit in Phnom Penh in January 2018. The premier also invited the Chinese premier to attend the summit and pay an official visit to celebrate its 60-year anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The two sides also discussed the implementation of building a high-speed road from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville. In response, China has pledged to make this project happens in hope of contributing to the economic growth and improvement of Cambodians’ livelihoods.

The leaders also discussed how to remove unexploded remnants in Cambodia and the Chinese promised to make it happen soon.
