Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 14 - The U.S Embassy in cooperation with Raffles Hotel Le Royal will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the visit of former U.S first lady Jaqueline Kennedy in Cambodia in 1967.

U.S Ambassador to Cambodia William A. Heidt will launch the photo exhibition on Tuesday evening. The event’s purpose is to congratulate the importance of diplomatic relations between the U.S and Cambodia.

Jaqueline Kennedy, the wife of John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, visited Cambodia 50 years ago to fulfill her "youthful lifelong dream" to visit Angkor Wat.

Photos showing the close relations between Jaqueline Kennedy and King Norodom Sihanouk will be displayed at an exhibition hosted by U.S Embassy.
