Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 27 - 44 new lawmakers from three political parties were recognized by the National Assembly on Monday morning.
The replacements were made in order to fill in the vacant seats in the National assembly after Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) was dissolved on Nov. 16.
Among those replacements, 41 were from the Royalist Funcinpec Party, two from Cambodian Nationality Party and another one from Economic Development for Khmer Party.
Following the 2013 national elections, the CNRP won 55 seats out of 123-seat National Assembly.
The rest of 11 seats, however, are yet redistributed.
The 44 news lawmakers including Prince Norodom Ranariddh will take an oath on Tuesday inside the Royal Palace.
