Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 14 – Criminal Police of Ministry of Interior in collaboration with the police force of Dang Kor district and Kandal province, and police of Technology Crime has continued to crack down 5 suspects, of which 4 are Nigerians and a Cambodian woman accused of phone fraud case from a woman in Sen Sok district.

The crackdown was carried out on Thursday by Lieutenant General Pol Rattana and General Nim Chantana, a deputy police chief, coordinated by representatives of the prosecution of Phnom Penh Municipal Court and Kandal province.

According to the Police Department of the Criminal Court, the five suspects arrested namely Iloanya Clancyemeka, 30, Mmadu Ugonna, 25, Okwor Goduain Chima, 35, Obi Elxis Kemechukwuy, 30, and Pisey is a Cambodian.

Within this operation, the police force has confiscated evidences at House 102, Street 24, Sangkat Chom Chao, Khan Por Senchey.

Victim said that she knew a foreigner in England but never met each other, and the man told her on Dec. 11 to send money $1,000 to receive his gift from abroad. Then, after she sent $1,000, the suspect called her to send $ 2,000 more, so she suspected that he lied and she filed a complaint at the Ministry of Interior's Criminal Police Department.
