Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 15 - Ke Da, deputy secretary-general of chemical authority of ministry of national defense, said Friday morning that the technical team of the United Nations Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will continue to launch the removal operation of the U.S chemical bombs dropped by the United States in Koki commune, Svay Rieng Province.

"The technical team of OPCW will arrive in Koki commun this morning to review and evaluate those chemical weapons”, stated Ke Da.

He added that four OPCW technical experts with equipment from the Netherlands are already in operation in the province. They found 10 bomb locations in Mondulkiri province, and two in Tbong Khmum province, while Svay Rieng province is in the process.

The OPCW technical team arrived in Cambodia on Dec. 10, 2017 to inspect and evaluate a US chemical bomb at the request of the Royal Government of Cambodia, after discovering several chemical bombs and posing a danger to many.
