Phnom Penh (FN), Dc. 15 – Prime Minister Hun Sen, Prime officially announced to seek talks between Cambodia and the United States on accepting Cambodians living in the United States after 1994.

Prime Minister said that the forum aims to seek collaboration with those Khmer-American people, and he did not want to see Cambodians being sent to other countries besides Cambodia.

His remark was made Friday morning at the Peace Palace where grants and medals were awarded to 221 coaches and athletes.

Meanwhile, the Royal Government of Cambodia agreed to accept Cambodian convicts illegally living in the U.S after 1994 and have been repatriated from the U.S, but PM Hun Sen asked the United States to consider to cover the cost of transportation and their living expense of the repatriated Cambodians to ensure their survival.

Cambodia has an agreement with the U.S to take those Cambodians back and so far, about 600 Cambodians have been repatriated.
