Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 15 - Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior on Friday requested Thai Minister of Justice, Prachin Chantong, to cooperate in facilitating the cross-border migration of Cambodian workers to work in Thailand in the legitimacy of the two countries.

Currently, tens of thousands of Cambodian workers are seeking employment in Thailand.

The request was made during a meeting between Sar Kheng and Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice on Friday at the Ministry of Interior in Cambodia.

Sar Kheng emphasized that Cambodians working in Thailand bring mutual benefits, as Cambodian workers have jobs while Thai businessmen benefit from the labor of Cambodian workers.

Responding to this issue, Prachin Chantong accepted the request and confirmed to hold talks with relevant Thai ministries on this matter.

In the meeting, Sar Kheng highly appreciated the cooperation between Thai Government and Cambodia and pledged to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
