Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 18 – The ground-breaking ceremony of the new health center in Koki commune, Romeas Hek district, was held Monday morning presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An.

On behalf of the government, Deputy Prime Minister appreciated Provincial Health Minister and Administrations in the area for collaborating with the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC), especially the technical team of the United Nations Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), to review and evaluate those U.S chemical bombs.

Regarding the health of the people, Prime Minister Hun Sen has advised the Ministry of Health to immediately consider establishing the Koki Health Center to provide free treatment.

So far, CMAC has found 22 new locations in Koki Commune, Romeas Hek District, Svay Rieng Province with U.S. chemical bombs.
