Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 20 - Phnom Penh Municipal Court will try Sam Rainsy, former persident of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), on December 29, 2017, charged of defaming Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Ky Tech, PM Hun Sen’s lawyer, filed a lawsuit against Sam Rainsy on 18 January 2017 after Sam Rainsy accused the premier of paying $1 million to Thy Sovantha, former youth activist for CNRP, to rebel against CNRP.
