Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 10 - The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, tried Kim Sok’s case on counterclaiming the verdicts of Phnom Penh Municipal Court and Appeal Court, according to the order dated January 9, 2018.

The trial will chaired by Head of Judge’s Council, Kim Sathavy and Deputy Prosecutor General Chhun Chanda.

On August 10, 2017, Kim Sok was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment and compensated $200,000 to the plaintiff, Prime Minister Hun Sen under the accusation on “incitement and defamation” according to article 494, 495 and 305 of Criminal Law.

Kim Sok also has been sued in another case by the premier for accusing the government for initiating a killing system and never have found the murder.
