Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 10 - In early January 2018, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) issued a certificate of registration for five new companies and factories in Cambodia with a capital of over $40 million, creating more than 4,000 jobs.

RED BOAT ENTERPRISE CO., LTD: A project to set up a factory for fruit and vegetable processing (Anchovies, Fish Sauce and Palm Sugar), located in Steung Hav District, Preah Sihanouk Province, has an investment of approximately $2.83 million and will create 384 jobs.

GLOBAL HOUSE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: A project to establish a commercial center, located in Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmey, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, has an investment of $10 million and will create 2,000 jobs.

METRO LIFESTYLE DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD: A project to establish a commercial center, located in Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap Province, has an investment of approximately $19.49 million and will create 135 jobs.

SANYO PACKAGE ASIA (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: A project to build a paper-product factory, located in Por Sen Chey district, Phnom Penh, with an investment of approximately $2.22 million and will create 76 jobs.

GRAND ORIENTAL FOOTWEAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD: A project of setting up a footwear factory located in Ang Snoul District, Kandal Province, has an investment of approximately $4.51 million and will create 1,575 jobs.

Due to a stable political situation and peace in Cambodia, more domestic and foreign investors are increasingly investing in Cambodia, opening new factories that create jobs for more Cambodians.
