Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 10 – In 2017, the trade volume between Cambodia and Thailand is worth of $5.5 billion, an increase of 10% compared to 2016, according to Ieng Sophalet, personal secretary to the Premier on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Hun Sen and Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha held discussion on Wednesday at 13:00pm before 2nd Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Meeting kick off.

Prime Minister Prayut expressed the gratitude to the development of cooperation, both the economic growth and trade volume between the two countries, especially the launching of Steoung Bot Border Gate. Thai Premier also welcomed the connection of railway between the two countries.

At the same time, Thai Premier asked Cambodia and Thailand to accelerate and enhance trade cooperation.
