Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 16 - At least 30 species of wildlife have been living in Phnom Prich Wildlife Sanctuary, and that many of them are enlisted on International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), according to the research by the Ministry of Environment and World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Those hidden wild animals include Asian elephants, leopards, tigers, antelopes, wolves, monkeys, Giant Ibis, peacocks, Mountain crocodiles, turtles, and other species.

The 20,000 square kilometer wildlife sanctuary, located between Sre Pok Wildlife Sanctuary and Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, was established by the Royal Decree in 1993.

In addition to providing shelters to wildlife, local people also benefit from the sanctuary economically, especially natural resources that support their livings.
