Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 6 – After the liberation from Pol Pot’s Regime on January 7, 1979, I met approximately 70 people in Phnom Penh; however, there are over one million people settling in this capital city today, said Prime Minister Hun Sen on Tuesday.

He further added that residential buildings, roads, skybridges have been built to ease traffics in response to the increasing number of vehicles.

“Phnom Penh, a ghost city in the past, has become one of the most attracted city of culture and tourism. I, personally, never expect the city has grown this fast,” the premier wrote on Facebook.

“What we achieved today is our sole efforts. Obviously, no tourists nor investors prefer country in war,” he added.

Prime Minister thanked compatriots for protecting peace, supporting and voting for Cambodian People’s Party to continue forwarding Cambodia.
