Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 7 - Prime Minister Hun Sen urged specialized institutions to work together to find out why the Cambodian workers fainted frequently.

The appeal was made when the premier met with over 15,000 garment workers in Por Sen Chey District, Phnom Penh on Wednesday.

Prime Minister recommended authority in charge to contact healthcare specialists, especially the World Health Organization, to investigate the causes to avoid future occurrence.

In 2017, a total of 1,603 workers from 22 factories fainted; 1,599 are women, according to the Ministry of Labor's Accident Prevention Task Force.
