Phnom Penh (FN), March 14 – Following the many cases of factory bankruptcies, Ministry of Labor is preparing a new legal procedure that requires all factory owners to deposit a certain amount of money to the National Social Security Fund (N.S.S.F), according to Minister Ith Sam Heng at the Annual Conference 2017 on Tuesday.

"Government considers the factory’s bankruptcy a risk. Employer is obligated to allocate finance to NSSF as a possibility to solve the risk,” stated the minister.

The government works to secure the salaries for workers in case of bankruptcy and acts in accordance to the law for the employers to fulfill their obligations.
