Phnom Penh (FN), March 19 - Tous Saphoeun, Deputy Secretary General of Board of Architects Cambodia and Director of Architects of Thai Bun Rong Company (TBRC) said on Monday that TBRC has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the forthcoming construction of “Thai Bun Rong Trade Center".

Tous Saphoeun said that the 133-story center was constructed on 49,732 square meters of land and 561.7 meters high, with a cost of over $3 billion.

"This world-class center includes 5-star hotel, luxury condominium, apartment, world-class office, shopping mall, restaurant and many world-class entertainment and sightseeing attractions in Phnom Penh. The project can accommodate 3,800 cars and 3,000 bikes”, he added.

The building's architecture was collectively designed by architects from six countries, and the layout has been completed with great admiration from several countries, according to Tous Saphoeun.

"When this Trade Center building is completed, it will be a virtual symbol of the national development of Cambodia, especially the prestige for Cambodia on the international stage as a highly civilized country. It will attract more international companies to Cambodia", he added.

The project was announced in March 2016, a joint venture between Thai Bun Rong Company and a Chinese company, and this 600-meter twin tower will be built on the land of former Dream Land Park, opposite of Naga World.
