Phnom Penh (FN), April 19 - Interior Ministry spokesman Khieu Sopheak, on Thursday, warned that the ministry will take serious action against Sam Rainsy, Leader of Cambodia National Rescue Movement, if he throttled the election of National Assembly members in the upcoming July.

The warning countered Sam Rainsy’s reiteration in Indonesia that the movement will take place in Cambodia if there was no presence of the opposition party in the national election.

To ensure security and order for parliamentarian elections in July, the Royal Government of Cambodia will deploy 80,000 joint police force, Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and Royal Gendarmerie.
