Phnom Penh (FN), April 19 - Interior Ministry spokesman Khieu Sopheak, on Thursday, called on Radio Free Asia (RFA)’s journalist to be patriotic, serving the interests of the nation rather than foreigners.

The appeal was made after RFA journalist attempted to inquire MoI's spokesman regarding his action against Sam Rainsy’s presence in Indonesia, as Prime Minister Hun Sen warned in February to arrest Sam Rainsy if he appeared in Asia.

Chhay Sophal, lecturer of Journalism and Public Relations, added that journalists should be patriotic and professional. Journalists' role is to hunt for for information, but should not spread news that incite chaos.
