Phnom Penh (FN), April 20 - Ayda Ünlü, the newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey to the Kingdom of Cambodia, stated that during her term of office in Cambodia, she pledges to successfully launch direct flights to Cambodia to promote tourism for both countries.

The statement was made during the meeting with Tourism Minister Thong Khon at the Ministry on Thursday afternoon.

Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and Turkey will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation in October 2018, which will also promote investment, professional tourism training, and direct flights from Turkey to Cambodia.

The minister has informed the ambassador numerous tourist sites in Cambodia such as Angkor Wat Temple, Preah Vihear Temple, Sambo Prei Kuk Temple and many other temples, beautiful coastal areas, mangrove eco-tourist areas, Areng and the northeastern region.

He also encouraged the ambassador to visit coastal areas and ecotourism sites in Cambodia.

Turkey has direct flight to 119 countries, including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia.
