Japan (FN), April 26 - Hun Manet, paid a courtesy call on Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Thursday.

Abe welcomed the visit of Manet to Japan, as invited through Prime Minister Hun Sen at the 11th Asia-Europe Summit (ASEM) in Mongolia in the past.

Prime Minister of Japan reassured that the Japanese government will continue to support the election process in Cambodia and provided some advises to Cambodia for consideration in order to ensure that the election will be conducted in a free and fair manner, as well as reflect the will of the people.

Abe and Manet hoped that the visit will further strengthen Cambodia-Japan relations and cooperation.
