Kratie (FN), May 6 - The number of victims harmed by the allegedly polluted water on Friday evening in Kratie province's Chet Borey district have increased to 151 (75 female) on top of the eleven deceased (six female), as of Sunday, according to Va Thorn, Kratie provincial governor.

Provincial governor and police chief Lt. Gen. Lun Sophat led a team to visit people living in Chet Borey District with clean water, food, and financial donation to the victims.

The provincial governor assigned police officers to move people to a safer place; stay in touch to rescue the victims; and bring them to the hospital.

The governor explained that the rain washed pesticide into the stream, making the water polluted for drinking.

Currently, the victims are being treated at a local hospital, while some serious injured victims were sent to hospital in Phnom Penh.
