Phnom Penh (FN), May 8 - The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), on Tuesday, celebrated the 155th Anniversary of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 8, 2018, under the theme “CRC is everywhere, for everybody by leaving no one behind” at the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC)’s headquarters in Phnom Penh, presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen and CRC’s president Bun Rany Hun Sen.

CRC, in 2018, fundraised over $18 million from donors nationwide. Last year’s celebration under the theme “Cambodian Red Cross is Everywhere for Everyone” collected in total $13.4 million.

The annual celebration, with the participation of members of CRC, parliamentarians, government officials, local and foreign donors, CRC’s volunteers, representative of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), aims to promote the humanitarian value and raise fund to help vulnerable people, including victims of disasters and other risks without discrimination of race, religion, political tendency and leaving no one behind, according to AKP.
