Phnom Penh (FN), May 9 – Cambodia's Minister of Public Work and Transport Sun Chanthol met with U.S Senator Doug Ericksen of the Republican in Washington State on Wednesday at the Ministry.

The minister informed the senator major infrastructure projects that Cambodia is focusing on, namely the development of road connectivity, rail linkages, harbors and port facilities, Phnom Penh Traffic Reduction Project, and the ministry’s reform initiatives to improve public services related to transport.

At the same time, the senator’s delegation was also informed about the potential investment opportunities of public and private partnerships (PPPs) related to railways, port, and road infrastructures.

Senator Doug Ericksen appreciated Senior Minister for informing Cambodia's infrastructure developments, and expressed his interest in strengthening relations and cooperation on trade and economics between the two countries.

Senator also pledged to inform Washington State’s investors opportunities avail in Cambodia upon his return.
