Phnom Penh (FN), May 10 – Appeal Court decided to uphold Phnom Penh Municipal Court’s verdict, sentencing Meach Sovannara, and 10 other members 7-20 years imprisonment, according to the court official on Thursday.

All the defendants have the rights to counterclaim to the Supreme Court.

Meach Sovannara, former media director of the dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), and 10 others were arrested in November 11, 2014, charged of leading and participating in an insurrectionary movement at Freedom Park, Phnom Penh on July 15, 2014.
