Phnom Penh (FN), May 13 - At least, 41 political parties that have registered at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), according to the ministry's list issued on May 11, 2018.

The ministry recently registered three newly created parties, including ”Khmer Will Party" led by Kong Monika, the son of former leader of the Sam Rainsy Party Kong Korm, New Democratic Party, and Khmer Rise Party that made up to 41 parties in total.

As of today, five political parties have registered to race in July's elections, including Cambodian Youth Party (CYP), Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), Cambodian Nationality Party (CNP) and Khmer National United Party (KNUP), and FUNCINPEC Party.

So far, 22 political parties have received registration forms from the NEC, and eight political parties deposited finance at the National Treasury to prepare for the election.

The registration to race in the forthcoming National Assembly 6th mandate election lasts 15 days from April 30, to May 14, 2018.
