Phnom Penh (FN), May 17 - Ayda Ünlü, the newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey to the Kingdom of Cambodia, pledged to successfully launch direct flights from Turkey to Cambodia to promote tourism for both countries and to attract Turkish investors to Cambodia.

The statement was made during the meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen at Phnom Penh’s Peace Palace on Thursday afternoon.

Prime Minister stated that the Cambodia-Turkey direct flight will promote economy, trade, investment, and tourism of both countries, particularly people-to-people ties.

Turkey operates direct flights to 250 cities in 119 countries, including ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia.
