Phnom Penh (FN), May 23 - Samyo Part, a major Japanese auto parts manufacturer founded since 1968, announced to cooperate with the JVC Technical School to construct the first recycled auto parts factory in Cambodia, CEO of Samyo Part Keiji Sakai told Pich Sophoan, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training on Tuesday at the ministry.

The CEO added that the company also manufactures auto parts located in China and distributes to Japan.

Keiji Sakai has learnt that many Cambodians used Japanese cars with second-hand spare parts, which are unsafe. Thus, the factory will process the old parts into the new standardized parts which will contribute to reducing traffic accidents and clean environment.

Pich Sophoan highly commended the vision of the company and stated that it is opportunity for Cambodian people to build their skills in manufacturing and repairing auto parts.

The Secretary expressed high hope that the company will be successful in providing standard auto parts, supported by people nationwide.
