Phnom Penh (FN), June 19 – Phnom Penh Capital Hall launched the use of electronic cards for public bus payment, presided over by Phnom Penh Governor Khoung Sreng and Chairman of the Board of the Wing Specialized Bank Kith Meng on Tuesday at the New Democratic Park in Reussey Keo District, Phnom Penh,

The governor said that the use of electronic payment cards will facilitate at least 20,000 local and international passengers per day. The cards will be provided by Wing Company.

Ean Sokhim, City Hall's Director of Transportation, said that there are two types of card, blue one for students, monks, factory workers, disabled workers and children under 1 meter high for180 free accesses, and the green one for general passengers.

Today, Phnom Penh has 155 public buses on eight major roads.
