Phnom Penh (FN), June 19 - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation released a 4-page press release on the outcomes of the 8th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit (ACMECS) and the 9th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam Summit (CLMV) from June 15-16, 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 8th ACMECS Summit was chaired by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha under the theme “Towards an Integrated and Connected Mekong Community”.

During the Summit, the leaders exchanged views on the cooperation of eight priority sectors, including transport linkages, investment and trade facilitation, industrial and energy sector, agricultural sector, human resource development, tourism sector, public health, and environmental cooperation, according to the press release.
