Hong Kong (FN), June 27 - Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Veng Sakhon, representing agricultural ministers of ASEAN member states, called on Chinese major investors to invest in agriculture, in particular, on agricultural food products in Cambodia.

His appeal was made during his participation in 1st Summit on "The Belt and Road Agrifood and Trade Summit” held in Hong Kong Special Economic Zone for two days, from 27-28 June 2018 at the invitation of Bryan Chan, CEO of Forever Marketing Consultant (FMC) Exhibition.

Minister Veng Sakhon also participated as guest speakers in a roundtable discussion on agricultural investment opportunities in Cambodia with agricultural ministers from six other countries, attended by heads of government, agriculture ministers, leaders, scientific researchers and observers from many countries.

By attending the summit, Veng Sakhon highlighted the potential of investment in agriculture as well as agricultural policy.

Cambodian minister appealed to Chinese investors to invest in agricultural food in Cambodia; expand markets for Cambodian agricultural products; and strengthen bilateral cooperation with China and many other countries that have participated in the summit.
