Phnom Penh (FN), July 2 – Cambodian workers in Thailand told Chheang Vun,  Cambodian People Party's lawmaker, they will come to vote on 29 July to choose a leader they favor.

Chheang Vun, Head of Special Group for Cambodian Worker Relations, led the team to meet and greet 1,750 Cambodian workers in Thailand from 29 June to 1 July 2018, in four different locations in Rayong province, where 80% of workers come from Battambang.

Chheang Vun emphasized that leaders of the legislative and executive institutions have always paid attention and care about Cambodians everywhere, especially Cambodian workers in Thailand.

Cambodian government urged the Thai government to take care of Khmer workers, and the two countries are working together to provide legitimacy to Cambodians working in Thailand in accordance with Thailand's labor law.

Workers' representative pledged to go to vote for the CPP to elect lawmakers who consider the welfare of workers, unite the national liberation, and maintain peace and development of the country.

Chheang Vun expressed his profound gratitude to the rightful decision of Cambodian workers in Thailand, who are willing to participate in the promotion of democracy in Cambodia.
