Phnom Penh (FN), July 2 - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) spokesman Chum Sounry said that the presences of Chinese in Cambodia are not refugees, but tourists, investors and workers, contributing to developing Cambodia.

The statement was made when Cambodian Foreign Affairs Minister Prak Sokhonn met with Hu Zhengyue, Former Deputy Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

"China has invested in Cambodia. The presences of Chinese investors and workers are the main reason for the large number of Chinese in Cambodia," said Chum Sounry.

China plays an important role in developing Cambodia's economy through investment, grant aids, scholarships, and tourism.

He added that Cambodia welcomed the cooperation of all countries across the globe without any discrimination.

Senior Minister Prak Sokhonn also informed his counterpart Hu Zhengyue the desire to strengthen cooperation on training of human resources in the Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations of the kingdom, according to the spokesman.

Hu Zhengyue also wished to strengthen the training of human resources in the country to contribute to the national development of Cambodia on behalf of China's close friend.
