Phnom Penh (FN) July 5 - The Royal Government of Cambodia will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the inscriptions of Preah Vihear Temple and 1st anniversary of Sambor Prei Kuk temple as World Heritage Sites on 15 July 2018 at the National Olympic Stadium Phnom Penh.

The confirmation was made at a press conference on Thursday morning under the presences of Chuch Phoeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts; Hab Touch, Director of Culture; Phann Nady, Director General of the National Authority for Sambo Prey Kuk; Kim Sedara, National Authority of Preah Vihear, and Som Rattana, Representative of Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia at the Ministry of Culture.

The commemoration ceremony will be chaired by Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife Bun Rany Hun Sen, attended by 9,000 diplomats, government officials, and citizens.

According to the press conference, on 15 July, there will be a separate ceremony at both temples accompanied by cultural performances and documentary screenings.

The Temple of Preah Vihear was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 7 July 2008 and Sambo Prei Kuk site on 8 July 2017.
