Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 14 – Cambodia and Viet Nam decided to restrict people's movement at border for one month, effective from 18 July 2021, according to the letter seen by Fresh News on 14 July.

Cambodia and Viet Nam will impose entry bans to all travelers for 30 days, except for diplomats, patients who are required treatment, and civil servants on special mission.

Local authorities of the two countries will work together to facilitate and ensure the travel of goods without disruptions.

Ho Chi Minh City and nearby regions are under tension, and the number of new cases is expected to further increase in the following days, local authorities said.

As of 13 July 2021, Vietnam recorded over 34,500 cases of COVID19 with 9,553 recoveries and 130 deaths.
