Tokyo (FN), Feb. 18 – Cambodian army commander Hun Manet met with Japanese vice-minister for Foreign Affairs Miyake Shingo prior to the former’s departure to Cambodia on 17 February 2022.

The Japanese vice foreign minister underlined that in the future, the friendship and solidarity of the two countries will be stronger and deeper, especially more Japanese investors will go to Cambodia.

In response, lieutenant general Hun Manet thanked the government, the Self-Defense Forces and the people of Japan for the warm welcome and for always maintaining good relations with Cambodia.

Manet also supported the investment activities of Japanese companies in Cambodia, as the companies always abide Cambodian investment law and offer good working conditions for local workers.

During the meeting, the two sides also agreed to explore cooperation opportunities in various fields.
