Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 4 – Director general of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Yun Young-ho said that the history of Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen's sacrifice for the kingdom and the people has been admired globally.

Yun Young-ho spoke in a courtesy call on the premier on Saturday (Jun 4) at the Peace Palace.

According to the premier's personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, Young-ho said that he is amazed by the experience sharing of premier Hun Sen at the Sun Hak Peace Awards, particularly the sacrifice to bring peace, stability and development for the kingdom.

Young-ho also lauded premier for his efforts to promote democracy in Cambodia as reflected by regular elections and the effective control on COVID19.

UPF director general asked for some recommendations from the premier to further develop UPF and contributions to global peace.

In response, premier Hun Sen thanked the UPF director general for coming to observe the fifth mandate communal elections in Cambodia.

The premier suggested UPF to meet with various senior dignitaries from different organizations to work on peace topic.

The premier said "peace talks must not focus only in the Asia-Pacific region, but worldwide."
