WASHINGTON, June 9 (ABC News) - A United States Navy helicopter has crashed near the California desert site where, a day earlier, a Marine Corps' helicopter went down, killing all five people aboard.

Four people were aboard the navy's MH-60S Seahawk chopper, which went down on a training range near El Centro on Thursday (local time), according to Naval Air Facility El Centro.

One crew member was injured and taken to a hospital, the base said.

On Wednesday, all five marines on board an Osprey aircraft were killed when it crashed into the California desert near the Arizona border.

It went down during training in a remote area in Imperial County, near the community of Glamis, about 185 kilometres east of San Diego and about 80km from Yuma, Arizona.
