SINGAPORE, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 5,691 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total tally to 1,403,242.

Of the new cases, 5,204 were local transmissions and 487 were imported cases.

No death was reported from COVID-19 on Friday, keeping the total death toll at 1,408, according to the ministry.
