SINGAPORE, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 11,504 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total tally to 1,425,171.

Of the new cases, 767 cases were detected through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and 10,737 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR cases, 743 were local transmissions and 24 imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 9,989 local transmissions and 748 imported cases, respectively.

A total of 437 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with nine cases in intensive care units.

One death was reported from COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 1,410, the ministry said.
