SINGAPORE, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 7,860 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total tally to 1,523,881.

Of the new cases, 7,604 were local transmissions and 256 were imported cases.

1 death was reported from COVID-19 on Saturday, keeping the total death toll at 1,428 according to the ministry.
