BEIJING, July 11 (CGTN) - China launched a naming event on Monday for its first satellite for solar physics study, according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) is a mission dedicated to solar physics and is the first Chinese satellite for solar physics study.

The satellite will start solar exploration journey in October.
