PARIS, Oct 2 (AFP) - France on Saturday condemned "violence" against its embassy in Burkina Faso, a day after junior officers toppled the West African country's ruling junta.

"We condemn the violence against our embassy in the strongest terms," government spokeswoman Anne-Claire Legendre said. "A crisis cell has been set up in Ouagadougou and our teams are mobilised... for the security of our fellow citizens, which is our priority."
